So talk of moving has been really a buzz in the Barnes home lately. Moving from the home you visited as a child and spent many lazy warm summers with you grandparents is a hard choice to make. Living somewhere warm, new and with a pool is an exciting idea, a fun adventure and a new begining is sometimes nice. Especially if you`ve been in the same place for 20 years.
My inner California girl has missed being warm.
Our days aren`t numbered but not too far in the future, so I decided I should start a list of things to do and places to see before I am no longer a Washinton resident. And time passes quickly, before we know it we will be packing a Uhaul and making our way closer to the equater.
So here we go!
#1 Mt. ST HELENS! Driven by many times a year to visit my grandma before she moved back here, and have never stopped to see the beauty! Can you belive it?
#2 Smith tower fireman climb. Been on my bucket list for a while. Although almost 3 weeks after foot surgery this seems like a far off goal.
#3 Kangaroo farm in Arlington. Jordan has been there and says it was so cool. No excuse to not go on a moms monday.
#4 Friday harbor. Hear it's a beautiful place. Must see.
#5 Olympic game farm, been for Shilos birthday a year or two ago, need to go so True might remeber it.
#6 Emerald Downs. One of our neighbors used to go on Mothers day and she always said it was fun.
#7 Slide waters in Lake Chelan. Haven`t been since True was a baby. Shilos has never gotten to go on Jordan and Chastins favorite ride, the purple haze. True and I didn't go to Lake Chelan last time the family went. The thought of my 2 year old camping next to the lake & having no fear was causing me to lose sleep at night. So we stayed home and had an absolute blast! Been a long time since I only had one kid:)
#8 The lavendar festival across the water, just a short ferry boat ride away. And Monicas favorite!
#9 If I complete #4 and/or #8 this one will be taken care of, but take a ferry boat ride. If I just walk on and ride to and from or visit some wonderful place, where we`re going there is no ferry.
#10 My girlfriends Marrie, Shannon and Kelly took me to a yummy place in Bellevue called Lot 3. And they have a plate of bacon on their appetizer menu that I feel compelled to try.
#11 I need to hit up the frozen yogurt place we went to after lot 3, they had nutella frozen yogurt! Yummo!
#12 Birch bay and the suspention bridge in Canada. John and I utilized my moms time share and stole a weekend to our selves when I was pregnant with Shilo. We have been saying we need to take the kids since then. Definitely going to make this one happen!
I have no doubt this list will grow, so...to be continued!
