Shilo got her ears pierced! My brother arranged for us to go to his friends tattoo parlor to get them done in a clean way. She did great! And was so excited!

When we came home from the Bahamas, the kids had made Johns favorite vanilla bean cake. SO sweet.
We had an 'unbirthday' party on behalf of Sues birthday for activity days. We played games like son't drop the egg.
We had the young women come join us, making for a bunch of fun!
True had a blast!
We did a white elephant gift exchange, shilo got a brand new frog princess series. She was over the moon:)
i made p.w's Texas sheet cake. It was really fun.
Chastin went on a few scout camp outs on the weekends, he had a pretty good time.

I've taken him to all of his ortho appointments, and after each one I have taken a picture. It's been fun to watch his teeth move.
We spent much of our summer at my moms pool! We loved it! I was in a boot pretty much the whole summer after the Bahamas, so my mom was sweet enough to get in with True each time.
Great grandma came and watched the kids play at the pool and enjoy the sun.
This little heart shaped cherry is the first one off my new Rainier cherry tree we planted last year! They were so yummy!
The kids loved having warm weather! they had countless water gun fights, hose fights, balloon fights. It was really a nice summer.
They are so cute! And such good friends.
Jordan turned 18! She had salted caramel cupcakes.
We broke tradition and went and saw the fireworks show in Edmonds. We usually go to Johns friends office building right on Lake Union and watch the show up close. This year I was feeling tired, so we thought we could try out the Edmonds show. It was good and close, so we might just keep doing that...

Chastin and I were watching youtube videos, he was so sweet keeping me company and trying to distract me after my surgery.
My visiting teacher is so sweet! And thoughtful.
Great grandma and Shilo love to have tea parties:) I love that gma comes over each day to hang out with the kids and me. She so sweet.
I still couldn't drive so I had Jordan drive us to 'kids bowl free'. They had fun.
Monica stole True and I and took us the the new frozen yogurt place in lfp. I was hitting an all time low after this surgery and all the problems that went with it. I'm so grateful for her kindness and her ability to know what I need without me even knowing. And that one outing, that one act of kindness, really reset my brain and my attitude and made me feel like I was going to be able to get through this. I remember just feeling so much better after we came home. It wasn't much to her, but it meant so much to me.
And to this day, when we drive by, True says "that's where Monica took us to ice cream! And you didn't drive" :)
Once I could drive again, I took the kids blueberry picking. We totally missed strawberry picking. Good thing Chastin and I made TONS of jam the year before! The kids spotted this beautiful dragon fly.

We headed over to bliss berri for frozen yogurt for working so hard all day out in the field.
They have nutella frozen yogurt! My all time favorite!
Shilo loves to spend summer time with these girls! They are always planning/playing something fun!
We had planned a picnic, but it wasn't nice so we had an indoor picnic instead. The kids thought it was fun. We never eat anywhere except the dining room table or kitchen in our house so my kids think it's especially fun to eat in the living room.
One moms Monday we went to MOD pizza for lunch. When they asked Chastin his name, he said Batman, so that's what they put on his paper! Then they called out that batman's pizza was ready, he was pretty stoked!
I had such good bruchetta in the Bahamas that i had to try making it from my garden fresh tomatoes.
I went straight to pioneer woman for a recipe! It was delightful!
Chastin was off to week long scout camp. I drove a group of boys up to Mt Vernon. it was funny, when I got to the church to pick up kids, the bishop asked who wanted to go in my car. All the boys went running to my car and I was a little shocked! i was feeling pretty cool for a moment~ you know, the cool mom:)
I quickly discovered it was because I have a fairly large DVD played in my truck. Chastin had told the boys that they could watch a movie on the way to camp!
ego deflated...
they were pretty bummed to find out I only have 4 sets of head phones. Chastin and the boys worked out who was riding with me "the cool" mom! it was the quietest ride to camp I've ever made! Don't know why I didn't think of that sooner.
For a moms Monday we went to the woodland park zoo with Monica and Brahm. True was brave and fed the birds. He didn't want to at first.
We took a spin on the merry go round with some fee tokens a zoo keeper gave us!
Once I got the go ahead to take my surgery foot to the beach that was the first thing we did! Boy was I missing being in the sun & at the beach!
These two are always game to got to the beach with me! Even if we have to wait till after work and have dinner on the sand! { which they love}
look at that fat foot! I was so glad to get out of my boot, off the knee scooter, out of stitches and out of pain! Now only if the crutches hadn't pinched my sciatica in my back sending me into agony and the urgent care~ that would have been lovely! I was more happy to hear that all my back problems for the last 5 years have stemmed from this big toe! That is a huge relief!

I did my first catering gig! That was fun! I was so busy that I sent my camera off with Rob, glad I did, I would have had no pictures!

We had a rare chance to go to both Chastin and Shilo's games. We usually had to split. We left True at home and spent time with just these two. We took our first trip to Molly moons. Oh yum!
