Moms Monday~ mid winter break

 The kids and I had the day off, so we headed to the gardens. AND to have an indoor picnic in Johns conference room. None of us had ever been before and Jordan is in a photo class so this would be good for her to meet her quota of pictures she needed to take while on break.
 I LOVE these! They were the first thing you see when you walk up from the parking lot.
I thought these were big till I saw more further into the tour.
 The garden had these really cool metal tags on all the foliage. Telling you it's name and origin. Neat idea.
 So pretty
 Jordan  took this cute one! I'm rarely in pictures so this was nice to have.
 The kids had the best time running up and down all the stairs. And they were beautiful stairs, well thought out, hand paved with soft stone. Lovely addition.
 I'm amazed at such beauty that can grow in such cold weather.
 This is by far my favorite picture! {maybe of all time!}
Next I'll post a copy Jordan did some edits to so it will fit beautifully on my black and white photo wall.
 They found this fun stone bench and had a hey day posing with it
 They are so fun!
 And silly!
 True loved  the gardens and the free range he got to have.
 We were stoked to see that it had a suspension bridge!!! It was just added this last summer.
 Chastin loves to climb! {what kid doesn't?} So he climbed up on one of the pillars to the bridge and perched there happily
 Amazing! ~ more amazing is that  this park is free and no one comes and vandalizes it! They don't knock these over. Amazing. And the fact that lots of people bring their kids here and they leave them alone makes me happy. I'm glad, because then we all get to enjoy them! SO cool!
 The gardens provide a scavenger hunt for the visitors, and one of the items on the list is this giant toad.
 Love that these guys still love to hang out with each other and with their mom...that makes my heart happy
Because I sure love taking time to enjoy their spirits!
{ we didn't notice till we got there, but 3 out of 4 of them wore a vest. I'ts a Seattle thing??}
 I like that there are these little ponds for the kids to look in, and I like the refection of the tree in the water too.
The house of garden gnomes.
Story is, the person who donated all the acres of land and their home when they died, kept many gardens. In this one he built a little home in the side of a hill ~originally to house garden tools & decor. In the summer they open it up and have little gnomes as decoration in there. Cant' wait to go back in the peak of summer and visit the gardens  and see the fully bloomed beauty. {and be warm}
Such a fun day!

True is 4!

True got this super cool t shirt from his dad, it looks like a super man shirt but it has a cape on the back! How fun is that?!

 I ordered a Toy Story cake from the Edmonds Bakery, he was so excited! I seem to always order a cake from this bakery when my kids turn 4, I don't know why but it's become fun a tradition.
Our kids always get to pick a dinner place, True chose Jimmy Johns~ Everyone was pretty happy about that!

 Blowing out the big 4 candles!

 Cheese!
 {love this shot!}
 Every year True uses his hands to eat his cake! This year he started with a fork, but heard us talking about him using his hands and got all funny and ate the last of his cake like this!
 True is very into Toy Story {ever since he went on the Toy Story rides at Disneyland}  So we found him the talking Zurg he wanted. He was elated! And it came with a Buzz with light up wings!

My good friend Audrey made these towels for True, they are a dinosaur and a blue super hero  one that looks like a cape and has a giant T on the back instead of an S! She is so creative!

A couple of days later the bakery gave me a new cake
because I had asked for a hand piped cake and they didn't have time so they made him his own personal size cake! He loved that one too..

He had a great birthday filled with fun! We are so happy that True is in our family and brings such fun young energy to our home!
