Black Buck

So Much FUN! They were great!
Can't wait till we get to see them play again.

Warming up

Rockin' out

love how Rob is such a rock star that he

had to wear his glasses on stage~in the dark:)

Chad was so funny about sweating~ he made light of it by saying

"can we get a mop up here?" maybe he should do a little stand up on the side!

They were so loud I had to steal ear plugs from Kelly... guess I'm getting old..

It is so fun to see dads rocking out and having so much fun!

I should have gotten a group picture of Robs groupies.. oh well.

Oh, and one of the best parts of the night was that I was carded as I went in the door of the bar/club! For a Mormon girl who never buys anything to get carded for it was pretty exciting! He said I didn't look old enough to be 21!

whoot! whoot!

Crystals 30th

Crystal is one of my very best friends, she loves to have herself a party.

So this year, she decided that for her big 30, we would go to the greenwood senior canter and play karaoke bingo! the catch was that you had to dress up like seniors or your best bingo lady.

So i hit my grandmothers closet! Borrowed a pink polyester suite, black knee highs, white flats, a blouse with a big bow and her cameo clip on earrings. {which made my ear lobes throb}

I used the lipstick on the cheeks for rouge, outlined the outer most line of my lips and borrowed a vintage hat from my mothers collection. I think i rocked it pretty good!

As for John, i picked him up a polyester bowling shirt from DI. That was about all i was going to talk him into wearing... unfortunately everyone actually LIKED the shirt and he threatens to wear it all the time!

We had such a good time!

And I'm aching to go back!

Hope we are this cute when we are old.

Crystal, Natasha and I all went to SCC together. It's fun to have friends that you have had that long.

Crystal borrowed her outfit from her grandmother and aunt, and as you can see, she went the bingo lady route. She got a set at her salon so she would have big hair and carried around a bottle cooler! Tash, found her warm up suite {complete with gold flecks!} at goodwill then added an airline pillow to her tummy for that low tummy pouch she's rockin'.

What a great idea for a party!

First haircut

We took a trip to Uncle Toms Barber shop
last week for True's First haircut.
I was prepared for a quick stint in the
chair, with a half finished hair cut, but True was a
trooper! And I think uncle Tom has cut so many
heads of hair, on squirmy kids and all, that he
has a calm presence about him and the kids
are perfectly happy to oblige in sitting still...
The Before

He was SO good! Not a tear, he didn't even move! He watched the basketball game on the t.v, looked around with his eyes~ not moving his little head one little inch!

The After

He looks so much older and like a little
handsome man! I keep feeling the back of his little head and telling him how cute he is!
{Thanks Uncle Tom for doing such a great job!}

Woodland Park Zoo

The kids favorite part of the zoo is feeding the birds!
Jordans friend Jaymson came with us to the zoo, he was really helpful with True and I was glad he was able to spend the day with us.
{the kids sure love him!}

True is the perfect age for the zoo! He is really good at getting in and out of the stroller and being quite when he needs to be.
I think he could enjoy the zoo everyday!
True kept throwing his stick when the birds would come near him!
Jayme picked him up so he could get a bird to eat off his stick, but he just kept throwing the stick on the ground and saying" get it!"

These kids are the best of friends.
They are lucky to have each other and I'm glad I get to take extra days off work and spend extra time with them... It was a fun day!

Valentines Day 2011

For a family who doesn't really celebrate Valentines day, we sure do seem to be feelin' the love around here this year.

The kids had their typical Valentines Day heart shaped krispy kremes for breakfast. They really love them and John went and got them fresh after seminary drop off this morning making them extra yummy!

Yesterday after church I made heart shaped little pies {from scratch} filled with either homemade apple pie filling or bananas and mini chocolate chips. {Double yum!} I put two in a bag and ran them to some of my friends.

My friend Monica's birthday was this week and her husband brought both of us one of these dreamy little ' deathcake' cup cakes from cup cake royale. And it was all she talked it up to be.. Delicious.

Today before Johns flight { to sunny california} we hit the Maltby Cafe for our Valentines day breakfast. I love their cream freshe. Admittedly I've only ever had theirs, but it is the best!

When we came home from our date~ sitting on our porch was a box of roses! I was delighted! When John and I were dating, and I worked in a salon, he would weekly have roses delivered to my station. All the other hair stylists would tease that I was the luckiest girl in the shop. I think they were right! But I might just be the luckiest girl around to this day.

I feel as though Valentines Day is for Love, not just for the love you have for your spouse or boyfriend/girlfriend, but the love you have for everyone.
I always leave a little something out for my kids to start off their Valentines Day reminding them they are loved.

I hope you have a very 'lovey day' as we say in our house
